This photo was taken during the Easter service at my family’s church. My mom had requested that the background be blurred and a few extra details in the background be removed so she could use the photo for our family photo album.
This photo was taken on my great-grandmother’s 99th birthday. This is one of the very few photos we have of her looking at the camera and smiling. In order to capture her smile, we cropped the photo and added a plain background that matched the wall in the original photo. Every year, my family adds a page to a long-running family photo album to commemorate our relatives. This photo will be used as my great-grandmother’s photo in that album.
